Effective Ways of Contributing to Taught MSc courses in Analytical Science

The objective of the report is to recommend effective ways of ensuring inclusion of quality assurance and quality management topics in taught MSc courses in analytical science. In summary the report recommends: teaching quality assurance and quality management as an integral part of taught MSc course in analytical science; facilitating a strong partnership between academia, industry and professional bodies for course development and delivery; developing resource materials based on real life case studies for lectures, practicals and projects; developing suitable proficiency testing schemes for MSc students to be used for benchmarking and as learning opportunities; developing CAL materials to be used outside the classroom as remedial aids and as ways of accessing information effectively; use of the Internet to develop networks and partnerships.
