Sector Networks

Sector networks provide an effective platform for disseminating the information and expertise derived from the many and varied projects of the VAM programme to analytical laboratories and scientists in a user friendly format. Currently there are four active networks for analytical scientists in the

Clinical, Environmental, Food and Industrial sectors.

The sector networks will encourage feedback from users of current LGC Reference Materials and VAM training resources, to influence the future direction of projects in these areas. Feedback will actively be sought on current projects in the early stages of development.

LGC led steering committees (comprising of sector representatives, accreditation bodies and standards bodies) identify and prioritise sector needs for reference materials, training and skills. The priority activities influence the choice of reference materials and training resources to be developed under the VAM programme.

VAM website users can access information on sector relevant VAM projects, training courses and publications, via the Virtual Sector Networks (VSNs) listed below.
