Standard unit for measuring gene expression an update

Over the past couple of months, several contacts have been established with key people from both industry and academia. A number of people have already expressed their interest in joining the working group and steps to set up a web-based discussion forum are currently being taken. It is anticipated that the forum will be up and running by the end of May 2004.

The project team was represented at the 1st International qPCR Symposium and Workshop held in Germany in the beginning of March. With over 450 delegates from around the world, the conference was a major event in the field of quantitative PCR and provided an excellent opportunity for networking and updating on the most recent developments in qPCR technologies.

A call for members to join the working group was published in the March issue of Laboratory News. We are still looking for interested parties to join the working group. if you are interested in becoming a member, click here for more information or contact.
