Weighing
This section provides a checklist of the topics an analyst should know and the technical skills that are
required to carry out measurements that are fit for purpose. There are some handy tips and suggestions of
practical tests and / or observations that enable the competence of the trainee to be assessed.
The material should therefore be used by an assessor and / or experienced analyst to aid the training of
staff who have little experience of working within a laboratory.
Typical accuracy and precision values can be found in the section Assessment
criteria and typical values.
